PEM's BIOSPHERE 3 Advisory Services offer advisory services to individuals, companies and institutions seeking to understand their greenhouse gas emissions, including strategies for reduction and management. Results may be utilized to comply with regulations, to create and/or qualify emissions credits; or to implement a plan of emissions reductions for ethical, economic, personal or other reasons. Biosphere 3 Advisory Services are oriented towards responsible planetary management. PEM recognizes the unique role humans will increasingly have on the function of many Earth systems. Our name comes from the realization that humanity is creating a managed Earth, "Biosphere 3"; relative of the original Biosphere (Biosphere 1) and of smaller, created model ecosystems such as the Biosphere 2 project in Tucson, Arizona.

The Biosphere 3 Advisory Services  approach is based on analysis of the relevant biogeochemical cycles for carbon dioxide (CO₂), nitrous oxide (N₂O) and methane (CH₄) and specializes in isotopic approaches to constrain greenhouse gas budgets. The isotopic approach provides powerful discriminators to identify sources (sinks) of carbon (and other greenhouse gases). It is applicable to monitoring of CO₂ sequestration verification.  PEM brings together high quality scientists, engineers, policy/business analysts with subject matter experience to oversee each project in accordance with international standards and protocols.

• Biosphere 3 Advisory Services will offer high quality services for GHG offsets/credits and related markets. These services include project development, implementation, monitoring, verification and reporting for a variety of projects. 
•  Biosphere 3 Advisory Services will offer carbon neutral verification analysis, greenhouse gas audits and greenhouse gas management services, thus providing an an integrated business solution to enhance sustainability and realize economic benefits.
